Time and Time Again is a one-of-a-kind event from designer and artist Denimani, unfolding across the rooms, hallways, and upper floors of TELL. Part fashion showroom, part art exhibition, and part intimate performance, the experience offers an unfiltered look into the cycles of creativity—how ideas are sketched, worn, tested, reworked, and ultimately revealed.

A Dual Practice Exhibition by Joshua McGarvey at TELL

December 13–31, 2024 | TELL Space, St. Paul

TELL Space unveiled The Key on December 13, 2024—a multifaceted exhibition celebrating the creative duality of Minneapolis-based artist Joshua McGarvey.

The exhibition showcased McGarvey’s dynamic intersection of conceptual art and functional design. As a visual artist, McGarvey explored themes of transformation and sustainability, most notably through a limited-edition handbag collection crafted from recycled green screen fabric originally used in his Posturing exhibition at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. These ten one-of-a-kind bags challenged traditional ideas around waste, material value, and reinvention.

Also featured were works under Uselding Fridays, the artist’s ongoing brand that designs clothing, bags, and objects with a focus on repurposed materials and thoughtful construction. Visitors experienced a curated selection of reworked secondhand garments, alongside sculptural works and video installations that further expanded McGarvey’s multidisciplinary voice.

The Key opened with a private launch event on December 13, followed by public viewings by appointment through the end of the month.
